According to saint95 from sewing.patternreview.com:

“The M17 is a lot of machine! Definitely for the advanced sewist that wants a great, all in one, does anything machine. With two or more ways to do the same thing (i.e.; adjust stitch width) and choices of how you want the machine to work (foot height, pivot), it could get overwhelming. Good thing there are on-board tutorials.

I like the AcuStitch Regulator. That would be a real game changer for free motion quilting fans. Hopefully this works down to some of the more intermediate machines in the next few years.

I am not sure why they included a button to open the top rather than the simple flip up that most machines have. Something to just get stuck? Also, I am not sure why a handle just “for stability” when the manual does not recommend that you use it for moving the machine. Manual recommends handholds on bottom edges, but be careful of the embroidery unit connector.

It will be interesting to hear from folks once they are allowed to put thread in the machines and play a bit.

Happy Sewing Dreams!”
