Singer HD6335M Denim vs Heavy Duty 4432? (Gossip on Reddit)
“Do any of you know anything about the HD6335M Denim? Is it worth getting over the 4432?”
“What do you plan on doing with it?
I don’t have any experience with the 6335M, but have tons of experience with the 4400 series machines. I can at least let you know whether the 4400s would be a good or bad idea.”
“Basic outdoor gear. I want to try my hand at everything including backpacks, quilts, hammocks, hammock straps (maybe), fishing rod covers, etc”
“I can tell you that the HD4432 will work out well for most if not all of that. You may have issues with thick padding on shoulder straps as the presser foot clearance may not be tall enough, and you may have trouble with stitches on stacks of thick fabric/webbing (3+ layers for thick webbing, 4+ for thick fabric). I don’t know whether the denim model would perform better in those departments.
I will say, take a look at the HD4452 as well – it’s the 4432 but with more accessories. It comes with a walking foot attachment that is helpful for light/slick fabrics.”
