Singer Hd6380 Sewing Machine Review by The Sewing Stuffs

The HD6380 Heavy Duty sewing machine is built to ease your toughest sewing jobs from denim to canvas. Because of the machine’s powerful engine, you can sew faster and save time.

Besides, this machine has a stainless steel bedplate, which makes delicate sewing materials a breeze because of its adjustable presser foot pressure.

Now we are going to review every feature of Singer HD6380 one by one:

Needle Threader

Singer HD6380

No more eye strain or frustrated cursing when trying to thread your needle with the built-in needle threader. Its built-in needle threader makes threading a snap. No more time wasted on struggling with the thread.

Bobbin

You’ll appreciate the convenience of having its top drop bobbin that’s easy to thread and easy to see. As a result, you’ll be able to keep track of your thread supply and won’t run out in the middle of a seam.

Needle Position

Singer HD6380

This machine has three-needle settings for topstitching, edge stitching, zipper application, and piping insertion, among other sewing techniques. Furthermore, its heavy-duty needles are ideal for sewings thick or heavy fabrics like denim, leather, corduroy, and suede.

Non-Stick Foot

You can stitch everything from leather to vinyl to plastic with ease when using the Non-Stick Foot. Its Clearance Plate helps level the foot height when sewing over thick seams.

You can also use it to help create a thread shank while stitching a button in place. Since the presser foot has a high position to accommodate thick fabrics, it let you swiftly adjust them for a range of sewing techniques.

Drop Feed Lever

The Drop Feed Lever is a helpful feature for free-motion sewing. It lets you lower the feed dog for free-motion sewing. To lift the feed dog back up, slide the lever on the front of the throat plate and then revolve the handwheel one full round. Afterward, continue sewing.

However, this machine makes it easy to create a wide variety of stitches. This machine can do it from short to long, strong to delicate!

What’s the most user friendly sewing machine available these days?

According to whita309 from reddit:

“I haven’t seen a machine with good throat space for machine quilting for under $500 (unless it’s used or refurbished, then maybe you could find something more affordable). My “starter” machine is a Singer HD6380 that I got in sale at Joanne last year, before I knew I was going to get into quilting. It doesn’t have a lot of throat space but it has served me pretty well.

I’ve been able to get a few quilts through it with some wrangling. It’s more affordable than many of the quilting-specific machines, and not computerized (a pro if computerized ones make you nervous like the do me!). I recently also got a Juki TL2000qi but haven’t had a chance to play with it much yet. It has a lot bigger throat space (but also cost me $700)!”
